What is it about those sticker charts? There’s something very powerful about placing that small symbol by your name as you attend Bikram Yoga and Hot Pilates! Doing so alongside friends and fellow students is equally encouraging and motivating. At a time of year when we typically fall into the holiday trap, it’s hard to stay on track with our goals, Bikram Yoga at Brick Canvas is thrilled to launch its first ever fall challenge—Practice Gratitude!
Sure, this challenge is about holding steady during this very wonderful yet stressful time of year, but it’s bigger than that. It’s a mind shift. Such a shift requires practice, and that’s okay! It’s a practice in seeing the good and all there is to be thankful for. It’s a practice in uplifting others and even dedicating your challenge to someone or something you appreciate. It’s a practice in centering your thoughts on an attitude of gratitude during this busiest of seasons. It’s a practice in focusing on what truly matters as you maintain your physical and mental health and clarity. After all…

Of course, having that sticker chart on the wall with your name on it doesn’t hurt either. Seeing your progress and accomplishments will give you all the more to be thankful for. With our instructors cheering you on and fellow Challenge participants by your side, you’ll be unstoppable.

What: Practice Gratitude Challenge
How: Attend Bikram Yoga or Hot Pilates at least twice a week.
When: Monday, October 3 — Saturday, December 31 Sign Up: Call or visit the studio to sign up. It’s only $25 to participate, which includes the all-mighty sticker chart, a Practice Gratitude shirt, and more!
As we Practice Gratitude, we want to give a shoutout to Amy Sanford, the Bikram student who helped us formulate the idea for this challenge. We are grateful for you, Amy, and all of our students who make Bikram Yoga the warm, uplifting, inspiring place that it is!
We’d also like to thank all who celebrated the conclusion of our popular Live It to Love It Challenge at our annual Friday Night Fiesta. What a grand party that was! Happy birthday to you… Okay, it may not be your birthday, but our six-month anniversary of offering Hot Pilates is something for you to celebrate. In this short amount of time, we’ve seen drastic results and amazing physical, mental, and emotional transformations.
Our website defines Hot Pilates as an upbeat, energetic, 45-minute mat class that sculpts and tones your entire body, strengthens your core, and improves your cardiovascular system. Sherrie Pacheco, our Hot Pilates Director and Studio Manager, has loved watching these stories come to life as she’s helped students discover the immense benefits Hot Pilates has to offer. Just as Jennifer DiMarzio touches on above, Sherrie is pleased to see the amount of progress achieved in such a short period.
“Hot Pilates is nothing but results—fast results!” says Sherrie. “For starters, the classes are short—only 45 minutes. You can do anything for 45 minutes. This promises to be the best 45 minutes of your day! It’s also the most productive! Students fitness levels have increased faster in Hot Pilates than anything I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve taught fitness classes for more than 30 years. To have such fun, spend so little time, and still witness such change… it’s incredible!”
Sherrie also sees tremendous value in the total-body balance Hot Pilates creates.
